FRPS (film) ARPS (visual art) LIPF MPAGB/AV

I am a fine art photographer based in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

My work deals with themes of heritage, beauty, decay and belonging. I'm inspired by the elegance and grittiness of Belfast itself and by the romance and history of the Irish landscape. My photographs often focus on small details and find significance in things that are sometimes overlooked.

As well as my print work, I have specialised in recent years in audio-visual art and have built up a portfolio of prize-winning pieces in this medium. I'm also working on a long-term family history project, Following Frances, which combines writing and photography.

I am represented by Arcangel Images for creative stock photography and have provided cover images for a range of books.

My educational background is in music and psychology, and I also work as a teacher.
